Pool A will be playing shorter rounds, with games to 11, and pool B will be playing 2 hour rounds with games to 15.
Rules:
Each team will have one timeout per half plus a floater. You may use a time out in the cap if you still have one. For the pool of 4, we will be blowing the soft cap at the 1:45 mark, and the hard cap at 2:00. For the pool of 5, soft cap will be at 1:30 and hard at 1:45. The coed division will be running on the same timeframe as the pool of 4, so for those rounds listen for a Bell that Blue Sky Polo Fields is letting us use. For the pool of 5 we'll have a horn, so listen for that.
Captains should meet with my briefly at 8:45, to hand over any dues checks, waivers, and to pay me the tourney fee. If you have a first round bye, you should come find me on the coed fields. I play for Lotus Eaters. Check out the scoreboard where you will find a field map and bracket.
These are the directions to the fields from the website:
NY Thruway to exit 16. This will take you directly onto Route 17 West to exit 120 (Montgomery) Route 211E. When you get to the bottom of the ramp after exiting Route 17, make a right onto Route 211E and go exactly five miles to Bart Bull Road where you will make another right. As a point of reference on the corner, you will see Stoney Ford Insurance Agency with an electronic time and temperature sign in front.
The key is to look for that time and temp sign. After you make that right, you go all the way to the end of Bart Bull Rd and you will see a sign we are going to put up to direct you to the fields. Chuck asked me to ask all of you not to drive quickly on bart bull rd or on the road inside the polo club. Also, a 1/2 mile before Bart Bull is a road called Bull road. Don't turn on that one. If you want to mapquest it, the actual address is 380 bart bull road, in Middletown.
